Das Team um Geschäftsführer Jörgen Golz freut sich sehr, Dr. Peter Funken als Kurator der 10. BERLINER LISTE gewonnen zu haben. Der Kunstjournalist ist seit langem auch als Kurator tätig und hat Ausstellungen wie z.B. „Polnische Avantgarde 1930 – 1990“, „Der Fleck in Geschichte und Gegenwart“ und zuletzt „Wunderkammer“, ein deutsch-polnisches Ausstellungsprojekt mit 24 KünstlerInnen aus beiden Ländern, Stettin, Berlin, 2012/2013 kuratiert. Funken wird die BERLINER LISTE mit seiner Expertise unterstützen und für eine hohe Qualität der ausgestellten Arbeiten sorgen. Ziel ist es, künstlerische Neuentdeckungen auf dem Berliner Kunstmarkt zu platzieren und neue kunstaffine Käuferschichten und Sammler zu generieren. Als Entdeckermesse für moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst fokussiert die BERLINER LISTE besonders auf Arbeiten, die in Berlin und im Bezug auf Berlin entstehen sowie auf internationale Positionen, die sich genauso wie Berlin am weltweiten künstlerischen Diskurs beteiligen. The team around director Jörgen Golz is excited to have won the interests of Dr. Peter Funken as curator for the 10th BERLINER LISTE. The art journalist has long been active as an art curator, having moderated projects including the Polish Avant-garde 1930-1990, “Der Fleck in Geschichte und Gegenwart” (The stain in the past and present) and most recently “Wunderkammer” (Cabinet of wonder), a polish exhibition project with 24 artists from both countries in 2012-13. Funken will support the BERLINER LISTE in ensuring a high quality of exhibited works. The objective is to position new artistic talents on Berlin’s art scene and generate a new art-affine generation of buyers and collectors. As the fair of discovery for modern and contemporary art, the BERLINER LISTE focuses particularly on work that has been produced in and with reference to Berlin, as well as international pieces that contribute to the international art discourse just as Berlin itself does.
