One Color: Blue. A Fair Highlight.

Blue has long captivated artists and cultures alike. From cerulean to ultramarine, blue has been revered since ancient times. It symbolizes serenity and sorrow, spirituality and ethereal realms, woven into the tapestry of art history. A sacred and vibrant presence, blue can be found in ancient artifacts, Byzantine icons, and Renaissance masterpieces, all the way to modernist abstractions of Picasso, Matisse and, of course, Yves Klein. Today, blue remains a constant in contemporary art and culture, evoking emotions and memories across mediums.

The 7th edition of the Discovery Art Fair in Frankfurt features over 110 exhibitors showing different works, from paper-based pieces to elaborate sculptures. And many, many of those works are painted blue. An endlesssource of creativity and expression, blue remains a think artists strive to materialize, catching a piece of the sky or the sea, exploring its depths and subtlety, its strengths and frailty.
