New and exclusive: Special, limited edition graphic prints for KÖLNER LISTE visitors.
Special editions are not new to the art market. From Albrecht Dürer to Andy Warhol and Christo, many renowned artists have used this method to successfully push their graphic prints. Alongside art societies, galleries and museums also showcase their artwork with such editions. The artistic final touches to an edition are the proof of the uniqueness of each design, yet they are significantly lower in price than unique pieces.
The principle of the KÖLNER LISTE Edition is simple. All exhibitors were invited to participate, and our curators selected ten motifs from the numerous submitted works. These have been produced in a small print run of 10 copies in the format 30 x 40 cm by our new cooperation partner, the art publisher Posterlounge in Leipzig. They have been printed directly onto acrylic glass with bold, intense colours and sharp details. Fair visitors will be delighted to take these special pieces home.
These exclusive, high-quality limited and signed prints from our emerging artists are available at only 100 Euro each.
Works by the following selected artists can be bought as KÖLNER LISTE Editions at the fair:
- Klara Landwehr (represented by Gallery ART MOVES, Ratingen)
- Daniela Baumann (Solingen)
- Valsugo (represented by bildparkgallery, Munich)
- Holger Fitterer (Karlsruhe)
- Art photographer Jordi Rosado (Spain)
- Juliana Do (Austria)
- Enrico Pense (represented by Neue Greifengalerie, Greifswald)
- Mario Pasqualotto (represented by Galerie PontArte, the Netherlands)
- Sabine Losacker (Cologne)
- Urban art artist SP38 (represented by OPEN WALLS Gallery, Berlin)
The Editions can be acquired directly at the artists’ stands. This means the purchase is directly connected with the unique opportunity of meeting the artist or the gallery owner in person – and exchanging views on the piece with them.
As part of the fair’s vision, we aspire to appeal not only to experienced art collectors and art lovers, but to young and potential collectors, too. The concept of the KÖLNER LISTE Editions fits perfectly to the philosophy behind this explorers’ fair. The organisers endeavour to showcase a wide spectrum of art according to the motto: Everyone should be in the position to buy art.
This guiding principle is also at the heart of the Leipzig-based company Posterlounge. “Our aim at Posterlounge is to produce art for every wall. Whether it is a classic poster, upmarket canvas, unique wooden picture or high-end Forex, Alu-Dibond or acrylic glass, art should be accessible to and affordable for everybody. We are delighted to be printing these first, exclusive editions for the KÖLNER LISTE. We chose acrylic glass to print the chosen motifs, as it is a highly modern and robust material. It evokes a deep, impressive sentiment thanks to the brilliant colour results,” says Julia Nostitz, Marketing Manager at Posterlounge. The renowned art publisher Posterlounge produces high-quality art prints on various materials (including canvas, acrylic glass and Alu-Dibond) and offers a wide portfolio of classic pieces, contemporary graphics, modern illustrations and fascinating photographs.
