Messe für zeitgenössische Kunst wird erneut von Dr. Peter Funken kuratiert
Vom 18. – 21. September 2014 findet die BERLINER LISTE im Rahmen der Berlin Art Week erstmalig im Postbahnhof in Berlin-Friedrichshain statt. Die Messe für zeitgenössische Kunst versteht sich als Forum für aufstrebende, internationale Kunst mit hohem Sammelpotenzial. Zum 11. Mal sind vielversprechende Talente, Projekträume und Galerieprogramme aufgerufen, sich für die Entdeckermesse zu bewerben, um ihre künstlerischen Arbeiten zu fairen Preisen im lichtdurchfluteten Ambiente des Postbahnhof zu zeigen.
Nach seinem erfolgreichen Start bei der BERLINER LISTE 2013 wird Dr. Peter Funken erneut die Messe kuratieren. Der Kunstjournalist ist seit langem auch als Kurator tätig und hat Ausstellungen wie z.B. “Polnische Avantgarde 1930 – 1990“, “Der Fleck in Geschichte und Gegenwart” und zuletzt “Wunderkammer”, ein deutsch-polnisches Ausstellungsprojekt mit 24 KünstlerInnen aus beiden Ländern, Stettin, Berlin, 2012/2013 durchgeführt. „Berlin ist nach wie vor der Ort des Neuen und Besonderen, ein Platz für Experimente und Initiativen, und damit eine Chance und Potenz für all jene, die mit der Kunst der Gegenwart Abenteuer, Selbstbefragung und Erkenntnis verbinden – die BERLINER LISTE ist eine Messe für Profis und für Einsteiger.“ (…)

Parallel to Berlin Art Week, the BERLINER LISTE will be held from September 18th to 21st 2014 at the Postbahnhof in the Berlin district of Friedrichshain. The fair for contemporary art defines itself as a forum for emerging, international artists with high potential to become collectors’ gems. For the eleventh time in its history, promising talent, project groups and gallery initiatives are invited to apply to this explorers’ fair. For a reasonable price they will exhibit their work in the bright, light-flooded atmosphere of the Postbahnhof.
After a successful start with the 2013 BERLINER LISTE, Dr Peter will once again take the lead as the fair’s curator. The art journalist has been a curator for many years and has seen to exhibitions including “Polnische Avantgarde 1930 – 1990“ (Polish avant-garde 1930 – 1990), “Der Fleck in Geschichte und Gegenwart” (The stain in the past and present), and most recently in 2012-13 the “Wunderkammer” (Cabinet of wonder), a German-Polish exhibition project featuring 24 artists from both Poland and Germany. “Berlin continues to be the place of new and extraordinary things, a place for experimentation and initiative, offering anyone who connects contemporary art with adventure, self-criticism and insight a place for chances and potency. The BERLINER LISTE is an exhibition for newcomers and professionals alike.”
